Ripple’s $1 Billion Vision Meets a Tough XRP Market As The SEC Prepares Its Next Move

Ripple is pursuing an ambitious growth strategy as it targets a $1 billion revenue run rate in 2026, excluding XRP holdings. The company is expanding across stablecoins, payments, custody and institutional infrastructure.

At the same time, XRP is facing a tougher market environment, recently hovering around the $1 level as broader crypto sentiment remains cautious.

The timing is significant because the SEC is scheduled to hold an open meeting on August 14, 2026, to consider proposing new rules for certain investment contracts involving crypto assets.

While the proposal would not immediately become law, it could begin a formal rulemaking process and provide greater clarity around how some crypto assets and offerings are treated under securities regulations.

For Ripple and XRP, regulatory clarity remains an important part of the long-term story. The company has increasingly positioned itself around institutional financial infrastructure rather than relying solely on XRP-related activity.

However, the market is still demanding evidence that Ripple’s expansion can translate into sustained growth while XRP faces short-term price pressure.

With Ripple targeting major revenue growth and the SEC preparing another important crypto-policy move, investors will be watching closely to see whether regulatory progress can help strengthen confidence in the broader XRP ecosystem.
