Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse confirms XRP ETF in 2025

Ripple Labs CEO Brad Garlinghouse recently shared his optimistic outlook for the future of Spot XRP ETFs during an interview with Fox Business. Speaking with reporter Liz Claman, Garlinghouse expressed confidence that XRP, along with Solana (SOL) and Cardano (ADA), could soon join Ethereum (ETH) and Bitcoin (BTC) in the ETF market.

Garlinghouse highlighted that the approval of the Spot Ethereum ETF has set a precedent for other digital assets. He acknowledged the challenges posed by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), which has historically been cautious about cryptocurrency ETFs. However, Garlinghouse was undeterred, stating emphatically, “An XRP ETF is just simply inevitable.” He predicted that an XRP ETF would likely be introduced by 2025.

“People don’t want just exposure to one commodity,” Garlinghouse remarked, emphasizing the importance of diversifying investment options in the crypto market. By adding more commodities like XRP, investors will have broader opportunities to trade and invest. Garlinghouse believes that XRP could become a significant competitor to existing ETH and BTC ETFs, alongside potential ETFs for Solana and Cardano.

During the interview, Garlinghouse also reminisced about XRP's past prominence, noting, “XRP used to be the second most valuable digital asset.” He pointed out that the growing cryptocurrency market has provided healthy competition for Ripple’s digital asset, driving innovation and adoption.

The CEO’s comments come at a time when the SEC’s stance on cryptocurrencies is under scrutiny. The agency has faced setbacks in its efforts to regulate the industry, potentially paving the way for more diverse crypto investment products. Garlinghouse’s assertion that an XRP ETF is inevitable reflects a broader sentiment in the crypto community that regulatory clarity and acceptance are on the horizon.

In conclusion, Garlinghouse’s appearance on Fox Business signals a positive shift for XRP and other digital assets. As the crypto market continues to evolve, the introduction of new ETFs could provide investors with more choices and foster greater market stability. With Garlinghouse’s forecast for an XRP ETF by 2025, the future looks promising for Ripple and its investors.
